💡 NAKU tips for success:
-
Repeat measurement: Measure your dog three times. Sighthounds move and tense their muscles – the average is often the truth.
- Positioning: Have your dog stand straight on a flat surface, with its head held up.
(A) Back length: Measure from the base of the neck (where the neck meets the shoulders) to the base of the tail. Tip: Lift the tail slightly to clearly see where it begins.
(B) Chest circumference: Measure around the widest part of the chest, right behind the front legs.
-
Between two sizes?
- If your dog is robust or muscular, choose the larger size.
- If your dog is very slender or young, choose the smaller size.
- Hunched back: If your dog has an exceptionally strong arch in its back (common in whippets), the back length measurement might require a bit extra in non-stretchy fabrics.
